All the best for your Festive Season!
It is a time to eat, drink and be merry. Hopefully you and I will get the chance to have a bit of extra rest and fun - or should that be extra fun and then rest....
Its been a busy time for us at Harris Meats and me personally so my blog hasn't been as regular as I had hoped but here's the latest news.

Life is Hotting Up!
Yes, life is getting interesting; its not just the weather that is starting to hot up!
In this blog you can read all about the dinner party for a group of golfers I catered for. It was a lot of fun, with a Middle Eastern cuisine theme. Click on the button to read, hope you enjoy it.

Cheviot MasterChef’s Journey will Continue Being evicted from the MasterChef kitchen and competition hasn’t broken Richard Harris’s ambitions to continue on his food journey; it seems to have made him more determined, and that is largely thanks to the local support he received. “It wasn’t until I got back to Cheviot that I realised what amazing support I had from the local people and the wider community. That’s when it sunk in how well I did in the competition and how much people loved watching it.”

Life After MasterChef NZ 2015
What a finale on Masterchef NZ; Tim and Leo fighting it out to be MasterChef 2015. I would have loved to have been in that final! That first challenge was right up my alley – I would have blitzed it! Frenching lamb racks, boning chicken and occasionally fish filleting are what I do on a day to day basis as a butcher. I’ve developed some great knife skills over the years so chopping vegetables wouldn’t have been a problem.
