We sponsor a lot of events, teams, fund raising efforts and community initiatives in our area.

One of our main sponsorship is of the Glenmark Cheviot Rugby Clubs. The photo above was taken during the 2010 season. The Division 2 team proudly wears the Harris Meats logo on the front of their shirts.

We are also very pleased to be able to support the Amberley Football Club. The club draws players from all over the Hurunui region and has all the hallmarks of a country football club with great grounds and fantastic sideline support. We also support the Cheviot Squash Club.

We also sponsor netball, bowls, golf, equestrian and other sporting events, including the A & P shows in our district.

The photo above shows Bryan at work as the Manager of the Glenmark Cheviot Div 2 team which he has done for a long time now, but has hung up his boots now.

We also support the Hurunui Cycling and Walking Trail Trust as they endeavour to develop cycling and walking trails throughout the Hurunui District. Another initiative we support is the Hurunui District Council's Youth programmes.
